Hello everyone!
Well! I’m getting ready for the second week in my virtual book tour for His Last Mistress, and I have only just finished writing my last guest post for that, so, whew!
I would like to ask any of you who have read my book, and liked it, to please rate and review it on Goodreads, Amazon UK, and Amazon USA. I have spoken to my publisher about whether we should keep marketing it as a historical romance, as those readers clearly cannot accept a tragic ending and are being unfairly brutal in their ratings and reviews as a result. It’s not for people who must have a happy-ever-after. Again, it is a biographical/historical fiction – i.e. based on what happened in real life!
I’m so excited about this month as we will have loads of guests posts for you to enjoy this September. We will have historians, historical fiction writers, fashion historians, musicians, artists, and more guest posting about various topics pertaining to the wonderful century that is the 17th!
As for me, well, I’m working away on The Stuart Vampire, which is coming along nicely. The Northampton-based artist is sketching away some cover designs for TSV, and I’m looking forward to seeing what she’s come up with!
And I so pleased to say my university courses are starting up this month. Yes, I have already finished with my schooling and have a few degrees, but a little top-up now and again is good for the old brain, methinks!
Speaking about old brains…on the 27th of this month, I’ll be celebrating my 28th birthday. I can scarcely believe it – I’m almost 30, and it seems like only a few days ago that I was eighteen. Oh, well, onwards and upwards!
I hope you all have a lovely week!
Nice:-)
