Thursday night at Fleetwood Public Library in Lancashire, I gave my first book talk about His Last Mistress. I met some really lovely people and it was an enjoyable evening. My husband was filming the event, but only 1/3 of the talk was captured because the video filled up the SD card far too quickly! At least you’ll get an idea of what it was like. We had a few interruptions, phone ringing, people showing up late – and I had to contend with teenagers screaming and banging on the glass windows right outside the whole time, so it was a little hard to concentrate, but I did the best I could despite this, and I hope you enjoy the videos. Again, sorry it is not complete – there was 45 minutes more in my talk.

Your enthusiasm when referring to the Stuarts and in particular the Duke of Monmouth is so captivating.
Hello M. and thank you for your comment. Yes, I really love talking about the Stuarts and the 17th-century, hence the goofy smiley face whenever I do talk about them! :p
